Here it is…Episode 100! That’s almost two years of weekly podcasts spotlighting all the amazing jazz music that happens in Seattle. We’re so proud to have made it this far and couldn’t have done it without your support!
We’ll be celebrating tonight, August 24th, at the New Orleans. Join us from 6:30pm on and raise a glass to two great years. Thomas Marriott will be playing with his band Flexicon and Dave and Jason will be hanging out basking in the glory. Hope to see you there.
Now, on to the business at hand…what’s going on this week! We have piano masters, young guns, Latin jazz and more on this week’s show. Hope you enjoy and get out to see some of this great music.
And thanks again to our August sponsor The Oregon Coast Jazz Party. Visit their site today or call 888-701-7123 for info.

Thomas Marriott and his Flexicon band (Rick Mandyck on piano, Phil Sparks on bass and Matt Jorgensen on drums) have been holding court every Friday a the New Orleans for two years now. That’s a great run for a regular gig and they show no signs of slowing down. As we mentioned above, we’ll be crashing their gig this week to celebrate the release of Episode 100, so come on down and hang! Raise a glass with us and enjoy the burning music, like this take on an old Freddie Hubbard classic with Mark Taylor, Bill Anschell, Jeff Johnson and Jorgensen.
